Chapter 1

I noticed a pattern

For years my work has been to sit with business owners, entrepreneurs and some of the biggest names in business, as their mentor and trainer. I went in to teach them. I came out learning something myself.

The people who did well, and who stayed peaceful and happy while doing well, had one thing in common. It was not money, luck or contacts. It was their energy. You could feel it the moment they walked into a room. When I listened closely, I understood where it came from: the way they thought. They did not spend their days thinking about what might go wrong. They thought about what they wanted.

So I began to follow their way of thinking, on purpose, every day. And I began to write down how they did it.

Chapter 2

Everyone says what. No one says how.

By then the law of attraction was everywhere. Books like The Secret had told millions of people what to think: think positive, believe, and it will come. I agree with them. But every time I closed one of those books, I was left with the same question. How?

How do you think positively on a day when everything is going wrong? When should you do it: morning or night? Where? For how long? What exactly should you picture? No one had turned that into a method an ordinary person could follow.

That gap is where WISHualization was born.

Chapter 3

The name

My whole idea fits in one sentence. Whatever you visualize happens; so why not visualize what you wish? And if you don't wish for something, don't visualize it.

Most of us visualize all day without knowing it. We picture the argument before it starts, the loss before it comes, the failure before we have even tried. We are visualizing what we fear. I wanted a word for the opposite habit. Wish, plus visualization: WISHualization.

Chapter 4

Seat 27

Long before WISHualization had a name, something happened to me that I have never forgotten.

I had to travel from Trichy to Chennai, and every government bus was full. I went to the counter and asked for a seat. The man there said no. There was nothing.

I didn't argue. I sat down on the bench near the counter and closed my eyes. In my mind, I saw myself sitting in the bus, in the aisle seat of the second-last row. I could see it clearly, and I stayed with that picture.

After about five minutes I went back to the counter and asked once more. This time he gave me a seat: number 27, the only one left on the bus. Someone had just cancelled it at another counter. It was the aisle seat in the second-last row: the very seat I had pictured.

He looked at me and said, “What a miracle.”

I don't think I was lucky that day. I had simply stopped picturing “no seat” and started picturing myself in one.

Chapter 5

The textile giant, 14 years later

14years between the picture and the phone call

Years ago, I watched the grand opening of a textile giant in my city. From that day, every time I passed the building, the same thought came to me: one day I will be a mentor, a trainer or an advisor to this company. I didn't tell anyone. I simply saw it, every time I passed.

About fourteen years later, my phone rang. It was the chairman. He asked me to guide the company's brand. Name the company, if they agree.

Fourteen years is a long time to hold a picture. That is why WISHualization is not a one-day high. It is a habit.

Chapter 6

From an idea to a programme

In 2020 I turned what I had learned into a programme: a curriculum for thinking the way successful, peaceful, happy people think, every day. What to picture, how, when and where. WISHualization was registered as a trademark in year.

We first held a short curtain-raiser session to see how people would respond. The response was more than welcoming. When we announced the first three-day workshop, it was fully booked within two days, and those three days went beautifully.

Since then, 10 workshops and more than 300 people. They enjoyed the process, and many of them are succeeding today. Their stories are on this site, in their own words.

You are already visualizing, every day, for hours. The only question is what. Come for three days, and learn to picture what you wish.
